At Bulk, we take steps every day to ensure we minimize the environmental impact that our business, and our industry, makes.

In recent years, the long-haul trucking industry has made significant strides to increase efficiency and minimize environmental impact. It is crucial to recognize the critical role this industry plays in supporting our economy. As responsible businesses, we are committed to continuing our efforts to further reduce our environmental footprint while ensuring the smooth flow of goods.

In a 2017 article from Pacific Standard magazine, the state of the industry is looking better:

According to the Environmental Defense Fund, freight movement (which also includes air and water-based transport) currently accounts for 16 percent of all corporate greenhouse gas emissions. There was a time, though, when that percentage was much, much higher. And in many ways that reduction has to do with industry-wide shifts toward cleaner machines. [It] would take 70 trucks built today to replicate the emissions from just one truck built in 2002.

At Bulk Carriers, our impressive fleet of state-of-the-art trucks ensures drivers experience unparalleled reliability and comfort. These modern trucks not only offer enhanced efficiency but are also have a reduced environmental impact compared to older counterparts. With our steadfast commitment to sustainability, our business operations have under gone significant transformations, making a meaningful contribution to a healthier planet.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

At Bulk, safety is paramount. We prioritize the well-being of our staff, fleet, client’s cargo, and all individuals involved in the transportation process from point A to point B. Since our inception, we have diligently maintained high certification standards and provided comprehensive safety training. Continuously striving for improvement, we ensure safety is upheld at all levels of our operations.

Our drivers receive ongoing training in the following areas:

  • Defensive driving
  • Visibility improvement (mirror placement)
  • Transportation of dangerous goods
  • Forklift safety
  • Food Safety
  • Dock safety
